Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm and wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL), has teamed up with Sri Lanka-headquartered Elephant House to produce, promote, distribute, and sell beverages under the Elephant House brand in India.
“This collaboration will not only strengthen RCPL’s expanding beverage lineup which includes well-known brands like Campa, Sosyo, and Raskik but will also introduce innovative new products and offerings to Indian consumers,” the company stated on Wednesday.
Elephant House is a brand owned by Ceylon Cold Stores PLC, a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC, the largest listed conglomerate in Sri Lanka. Under the Elephant House brand, they produce and sell a variety of beverages such as Necto, Cream Soda, EGB (Ginger Beer), Orange Barley, and Lemonade, among others.
Commenting on the partnership, Ketan Mody, COO of Reliance Consumer Products Limited, said, “Elephant House, with its strong market reputation, is a renowned brand with a rich heritage. This collaboration will not only add their popular beverages to our expanding FMCG portfolio but will also offer Indian consumers a wide selection and great value through top-quality products.”

RCPL stated that its goal is to provide Indian consumers with a diverse portfolio of globally recognized brands and products known for their exceptional quality and value. The company also mentioned that it is rapidly expanding its multi-channel operations to reach a wider range of consumers across various markets.
The company currently offers a versatile FMCG portfolio including well-known beverage brands like Campa and Sosyo Hajoori, a wide range of confectionery from Lotus Chocolates, Toffeeman, and snacks like Alan’s Bugles and Masti Oye, in addition to Sri Lanka’s popular biscuit brand Maliban, and essential daily convenience products under the Independence brand. They also offer home and personal care products like dishwashing liquids, laundry detergent, soaps, and toilet cleaners.
