Smart door locks are becoming increasingly popular among homeowners due to their enhanced security and convenience. Most smart lock designs typically involve a bulky retrofit housing with a motor for the interior side of the door, as well as a retrofit keyed cylinder or keypad for the exterior. However, Level Lock has taken a different approach by designing their smart lock system to retrofit the deadbolt and motor mechanisms inside the door. This unique design allows for “invisible” smart lock functionality without compromising the aesthetic of the existing door hardware.
All Level smart locks feature the internal deadbolt and motor mechanisms that the company pioneered with the launch of their first smart lock, the Level Bolt, in 2020. This lock works with the existing deadbolt hardware on the outside of the door and is paired with the Level bolt and motor on the inside. It can be opened and closed using the Level app with Bluetooth connectivity or Apple HomeKit.
Since then, Level has expanded their product line to include locks with their own designed door hardware, additional entry options such as Touch, Apple Home Key, and NFC Key Cards, a keypad for key code access, and more. The Level Lock+ offers Bluetooth connectivity, Apple Home Key access, Touch access, and NFC key cards. It is the smallest smart lock available and can be accessed through the app, voice commands, or a regular key.
The Level Lock is currently available on level.co and includes standard Bluetooth connectivity, the Level Lock motor and bolt, strike plate, and interior and exterior housings in various finishes. It can be operated through the Level Home app, Apple Home app, Apple Siri voice commands, and a physical key. Access can also be shared with other users through the Level Home app.
The Level Lock – Touch Edition adds capacitive Touch and NFC key card access to the basic Level Lock. Touching the housing unlocks the door for a set period of time when the user is within the designated home boundary.
The Level Bolt Connect fits invisibly inside the door and works with iOS and Android mobile devices. It uses the existing deadbolt hardware and replaces the deadbolt mechanism with the Level Lock motor and bolt. The Connect WiFi bridge allows for integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, as well as remote locking and unlocking and voice control.
The Level Lock+ offers the same internal mechanism as the standard Level Lock but adds integration with Apple Home Keys. It can be opened by tapping the iPhone or Apple Watch on the exterior lock housing, and NFC key cards and fobs can also be used.
The Level Lock+ Connect is the newest and most advanced smart lock from Level. It offers full WiFi integration, Touch access, Apple Home Key access, NFC key cards and fobs, and integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
The Level Keypad is available separately or in bundles with various Level smart locks. It allows for secure key code access to the door and can store up to 50 unique codes. It is ideal for controlling and tracking access for dog walkers, housekeepers, contractors, and others. The keypad has LED backlighting for easy visibility in low light conditions.
Overall, Level Lock offers a range of smart lock options with different features and capabilities to suit the needs of homeowners.
