OutSystems, a provider of low-code development platforms, has recently launched AI Agent Builder, a no-code tool that allows users to create customized generative AI agents using large language models (LLMs) from Azure OpenAI or Amazon Bedrock.
Part of the OutSystems Developer Cloud Platform and announced on March 12, AI Agent Builder is designed to simplify the integration of generative AI-powered applications into a digital transformation strategy while also ensuring governance for the standardized and secure use of AI, according to the company.
The key features of AI Agent Builder include custom AI agent development, a library of “quickstart” generative AI apps and templates, AI agents powered by retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and built-in guardrails for access control and performance monitoring. Users can select foundation models from Azure OpenAI or Amazon Bedrock, integrate them with knowledge sources, and provide natural language instructions for use within applications. OutSystems claims that users can build agents in just a few simple steps without any coding required.
OutSystems stated that AI Agent Builder is part of the company’s AI strategy, which focuses on using generative AI to speed up iterative application development, incorporating generative AI across the development lifecycle to enhance security, performance, and agility, and creating generative AI-powered applications to expedite transformation.
