The Dubai government has introduced the ‘Work Bundle’ digital platform to reduce the time taken to issue work permits for private sector employees from 30 days to just five.
Previously, the process of obtaining work permits and residency visas could take up to 30 days and required the submission of 16 documents. With Work Bundle, the processing time has been reduced to five days and only five documents are now needed from applicants.
In addition, the number of visits to visa centers has been reduced from seven to just two days, saving time and effort for applicants.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, stated in a post on X that the Work Bundle platform will “simplify and expedite the procedures for residency and work permits in the country.”
This platform is designed to streamline the process for both companies and individuals seeking job opportunities in Dubai.
Work Bundle will integrate various government entities including the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre), Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and the Department of Economy and Tourism, as well as the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).
