We’re excited to announce two major updates regarding the VMware NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director tool! Firstly, we are presenting the latest release, version 1.4.2.1, which was launched on November 9th, 2023. This release includes several bug fixes and introduces new feature support. Additionally, we are thrilled to declare that the source code for the VMware NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director tool is now open-source. This allows you to easily access and utilize the tool according to your preferences and requirements.
What’s New in this release?
To keep it simple, we strongly recommend reading the release note for VMware NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director to learn about all the new features (captured under bug fixes) and also to understand the limitations.

Open Source?
As we announced in the blog “End of NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director…! What Should I Know?”, the VMware NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director tool will mark the end of all future development and begin the process of transitioning the tool to its End of Life (EOL) phase. General Support, including bug fixes and patches, will continue until the End of General Support (EOGS) in January 2024.
We are excited to share the news that the source code of the VMware NSX Migration for VMware Cloud Director tool is now accessible as an open-source initiative. The source code and all released builds are publicly available on Calsoft GitHub repository: https://github.com/Calsoft-Pvt-Ltd/NSX_V2T_Migration_Tool.
Calsoft is the contributor and will be responsible for maintaining the tool.
