Billionaire Elon Musk, who is currently in Israel, met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Monday to discuss the aftermath of the war against Hamas. During their meeting, Musk emphasized the necessity of taking action against Hamas terrorists who have targeted and killed innocent civilians. He also called for a reform in the education system to prevent the training of future generations as murderers and instead promote prosperity.
Musk shared, “I just had a talk with the Prime Minister (Benjamin Netanyahu). There are three things that need to happen in the Gaza situation. There’s no choice but to eliminate those who persist in murdering civilians. They won’t change their minds.”
He continued, “The second thing is to reform the education system in order to prevent the training of future generations as murderers. The third crucial aspect is to focus on building prosperity.” These were the key points Musk highlighted to the Israeli President.
Musk’s visit to Israel includes meetings with Prime Minister Netanyahu, President Isaac Herzog, and the victims of the October 7 Hamas attacks, as well as families affected by the hostage situation. The billionaire, who has shown support for Israel in its fight against Hamas, began his visit by touring Kfar Aza, one of the areas most affected by the October 7 attacks, alongside Netanyahu.
Reflecting on his visit to Kfar Aza kibbutz, Musk described it as an “emotionally difficult” day for the families who lost their loved ones. During his meeting with the Israeli President, he met with families of the hostages held by Hamas. The father of a hostage presented Musk with a symbolic dog tag engraved with the words “our hearts are hostage in Gaza.” In response, Musk vowed to wear the dog tag “every day until your loved ones are released.”
Musk also witnessed a video on Rachel’s phone, an Israeli mother whose wounded son was abducted by Hamas.
Last week, Israel and Hamas agreed to a four-day ceasefire to ensure the release of hostages. As part of the agreement, Hamas released 69 hostages, while Israel freed around 150 Palestinian prisoners. On Monday, Qatar, along with other mediators, announced a two-day extension of the truce.
Furthermore, Israel confirmed on Monday that it had reached an agreement with Musk for SpaceX to offer Starlink satellite internet services in Gaza solely with Israeli approval.
