Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed regret for his remarks on population control in the assembly amidst a controversy.
Kumar, while highlighting the significance of education for women in controlling the population, provided a vivid description in the state assembly of how an educated woman can exert control over her husband during sexual intercourse.
“The actions of the husband resulted in more births. However, through education, a woman understands how to restrain him… this is the reason for the declining birth rates,” Kumar stated in a rural manner.
