In my years, I have learned important life lessons such as how to catch and clean a fish, change a flat tire, and drive a stick shift. These lessons have served me well, but now I have discovered another crucial lesson – mastering the art of a great dad joke. Initially, I didn’t appreciate the value of dad jokes and would often receive eyerolls or sighs of embarrassment. It brings me joy to see the panic in my son’s eyes when I start with, “Wait, I have a good one”. So, take a moment to embrace the “cringe” and remember, you don’t have to be a dad to tell dad jokes, it just makes you a faux pa!
